Some links here are affiliate or referral links. I may earn a commission if you buy or sign up through them, at no extra cost to you. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
These are stalls I can point at in my own records, plus the public pages that explain them. I am not turning them into a results story. No follower counts from my accounts, no earnings, and no account names.

- The Apply button that waits on a follower gate.

The Apply button waits on the follower gate
The note stored on October 21, 2026 says the TikTok Shop Creator Pilot needed 1,000 followers before there was an application to send. Other requirements were already met. Until that follower number, "apply" is not a step you can finish. The US policy I opened on October 27, 2026 still prints 1,000 for an affiliate creator.
I am not quoting how many followers any of my accounts had that day. The useful version is: read the number on the eligibility page, then read the number on your own profile, and don't hunt for a broken button if the gate is still closed.

One shop is tied to one official account
The shop record says a creator account was unlinked, and that unlink counted as 1 of 3 lifetime unlinks. The account that replaced it is the official shop account, and e-commerce permission was still pending when I checked. I don't have a published number of days for that approval. Plan on the shop and the posting account being a pair you pick on purpose.
Changing the linked account is a serious step. A deactivated shop can take the creator's e-commerce permission with it. Unlinking an account just to see what happens is how that permission gets lost.
Other sellers' products are a different role
I looked for a stored error that said "No access" and did not find that exact phrase. What is stored is the split: the review account cannot tag the shop's products, and the official shop account does not get the marketplace for other sellers. The eligibility page says the same thing. Official shop creators promote that shop only. Affiliates, after they qualify, promote other sellers. If the marketplace is missing, check which role the account actually has before you hunt for a broken button.
A photo is not automatically a product post
I did not find a stored sentence that a one-photo post can never take a product link. The US pages I opened on October 27, 2026 disagree with each other about photo limits. One counts shoppable photo posts. Another says a shoppable carousel needs at least two photos and is only on some accounts. The safe test is the Products button on that post, not a blog's memory of an older screen.
Applications stop at tax, payout, and identity
The October 27, 2026 audit says TikTok Shop withdrawals were blocked on business verification and a W-9. The same pass was waiting on an email verification for one network and an account verification for another. Separate shop records are stuck on a tax ID, on payment and personal details, or on a payout threshold the program sets. I did not find a stored note that a phone-verification screen was the thing that stopped an application, so I am not adding one. Do finish the tax form, the bank or payout method, and the identity check before you assume the program declined your content.
A commission account can be a later step than the creator account. Personal and tax information show up when the program is ready to pay, not when you are ready to post.
A program can be closed
Canva's ambassador program is stored as closed on both the free-tool row and the paid-plan row. A closed program does not become a link. Name the tool in plain text and move on. Canva's free plan can still be the graphics tool. That is not the same thing as an affiliate link.
Old links go dead
The link audit still has Amazon homepage links to clean up. A homepage was never a product recommendation, and it is a bad link even when Amazon still answers. AmazonSmile is a different dead end: Amazon's own news post says the program wound down on February 20, 2023. An old smile.amazon.com URL is not an Associates link. (Amazon's announcement) I did not find a smile.amazon.com URL in this site's current files. I am mentioning it because an old post on the internet can still contain one.

A print shop can look empty
One shop's public grid showed no products on October 27, 2026, while individual listing addresses still opened. The open task is to finish payment and personal details, not to open a second shop. An older print-shop profile at a similar name returns "gone," and a different public profile with a similar name belongs to a different artist. Match the profile before you send anyone there.
Watermarked web photos are not the print masters. The shop file stays clean. The blog copy of my own photo gets the watermark. I am not using a watermarked frame, or a frame still inside a 30-day reuse window, as the picture on these posts.
Some networks want permission in writing
A stored travel note says one outdoor brand needs written permission before the link is used. Impact brands each have their own contract. An advertising network can also ask for a verification tag on the homepage before it will approve the site. Read that request. Don't drop a tracking pixel on the live site until you mean to.

Admin transfers and lockouts
One Page record says full admin had to be confirmed after it was lost. Another Page rename came with a 60-day name lock. An Instagram account was locked out of scheduled posting and later restored. I did not find a stored "about a week" duration that fits every one of those, so I am not using a week as the rule. The useful version is: if you don't have admin today, you cannot post today, and a rename or a transfer can keep the tools unavailable after you think you are done.
Deleting and reposting
The stored rule is to leave a published TikTok clip up and post a new update later. I don't have a second version of that lesson, and I don't need one. On TikTok, the commercial disclosure label cannot be switched after the post is up. Taking it down to fix the label is a new post, not a quiet edit. I still don't delete a clip that is already doing its job.
Platform rules move
Facebook's older in-stream ads program ended on August 31, 2025. TikTok's shoppable posting caps are dated May 11, 2026, and two US pages disagree about the pilot cap. Amazon's agreement page has its own update log. If a tutorial and the official page disagree, believe the page you opened that day, including this post.
| Stall | What I do instead |
|---|---|
| Apply is missing | Check the follower gate on the official page before blaming the app. |
| Marketplace is missing | Check whether the account is the official shop or an affiliate. |
| Withdrawal is blocked | Finish business verification, the W-9, and the payout method. |
| Program page is closed | Keep the tool name as text. Don't invent a link. |
| Homepage link | Replace it with a product page, or remove it. |
| Empty shop grid | Open a known listing URL. Don't start a second shop. |
| Not an admin today | Don't schedule the post for today. |
Before you start
- Pick Personal or Business on purpose. Read what each one does to music and to a website link. Don't switch back and forth to test it.
- Decide whether this account is the shop's official account or an affiliate account. One account does not do both jobs.
- For TikTok Shop affiliate in the US, check 18, United States, 1,000 followers, and a clean e-commerce record before you look for Join now.
- Finish tax, payout, and identity when the program asks. A missing W-9 is a stalled withdrawal, not a content problem.
- Confirm the program is open to new people. A closed ambassador program stays text, not a link.
- Build the product link in the program's tool. Open it in a private window. Keep a row in the sheet.
- Put "(paid link)" or "#ad" where people see it, and turn on the platform label. Say it in a video.
- Check the Products button on the exact post type you are making. A single photo may not be a shoppable carousel.
- Confirm you are an admin of the Page or professional account you plan to post from, before the day you need it.
- Match the shop profile. A similar name can be a different person, and an empty grid can hide listings that still exist.
- Don't delete a live post to "fix" a link. Post a new one, or use the program's own relink tool when it exists.
- Re-read the official page on the day you post. A cap or a program can change between drafts.
